Background Info:was a dark stormy night when faculty at the Miskatonic Academy received a frantic call from the police summoning them to the home of a local family. Though uncertain what they would find they were ill prepared for the site the greeted once they had passed the stunned EMS workers and shocked family. Writhing on the bed, babbling words that defied human comprehension (let alone the ability of vocal cords to produce them) the eldest daughter lay partially transformed into what some would consider a horror. With some difficulty Academy officials were able to discern, through the gibbering and ranting, that the girl, Alexandria, had been undergoing some sort of mind transference when something went terribly, terribly wrong. While most present found the claim unbelievable the changes to her physical form, as well as the retelling of the account of one Nathaniel Wingate Peaslee and his encounter with the Great Race of Yith, lent an eerie and unsettling credence to her claim. When things were finally brought under control and Alex medically examined there seemed no way for human science to reverse her strange transformation. Distraught, her parents agreed to let the Academy take care of her until more could be learned. With her old life officially over, Alex accepted the offer.
Despite the great turmoil her life has been thrown into Alex’s arrival at the Academy proved to be blessing to her. A curious and studious girl even before her transformation, she seems to have found grounding in the campus library and spends much of her off time there, pouring over tome after tome, as though she were glutting herself on knowledge. While a little shy she is generally well regarded by the other Elder Goddesses and has even struck up a “friendly” rivalry with Mig, possessing much of the formers intellectual capabilities but none of her ego. To her own credit, Mig seems to have warmed to her bit, finding some peace in discussing and debating with one “on her level.”
